1 Samuel 3:3

English Standard Version

3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was. (Ex 27:20; Le 24:2; 1Sa 1:9; 2Ch 13:11) 

New International Version

3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was. 

New International Reader’s Version

3 Samuel was lying down in the LORD’s house. That’s where the ark of God was kept. The lamp of God was still burning. 

King James Version

3 And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was , and Samuel was laid down to sleep ;
